1075 SCARPro Offset Fixture Kit

Manufacturer product description

Radiographers use the 1075 SCAR Pro Offset Kit for superimposed and elliptical exposures on butt welds, elbows, sockets, and flanges of small-bore piping up to 3 in (7.6 cm) in diameter. Need precise source-to-film distance for superimposed exposures? Use the telescoping feature. Taking elliptical exposures? The 15° tilt positions your source at the correct offset angle from the weld plane. The film tray keeps film flat and doubles as back-shielding for the collimated beam. Setup and repositioning are fast and easy. The clamping jaw attaches firmly to the pipe without scoring, scratching, or nicking the surface. Clamp the kit to the pipe, adjust telescoping distance, tilt for elliptical exposures, secure the film tray, and position shielding. Repositioning for 90-degree coverage requires only loosening one bolt, rotating, and retightening. Frustrated with time spent on creating “SCAR burritos"? The custom shielding slides over the whole assembly and repositions quickly between exposures. With the 1075 SCAR Pro Offset Kit, radiographers complete 3+ joints per hour while maintaining 6 – 16 ft (2 – 5 m) exclusion zones.
