OpenVision DX is an easy-to-use, handheld real-time radiography (RTR) X-ray system used for qualitative CUI screening on insulated piping. Radiographers capture real-time video and still images of CUI indicators such as pitting, scaling, wall loss, and wet insulation without stripping insulation or disrupting revenue-generating production. OpenVision DX’s low-energy 70 kV X-ray source, with highly collimated output and internal shielding, minimizes radiation exposure and confines the radiation footprint to just a few feet (about 1 meter). Radiographers can inspect insulation and cladding combinations up to 36 inches (91 cm) in diameter, including mineral wool, calcium silicate, and galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Inspection teams also use OpenVision DX for heat tracer inspection and weld location mapping when CUI screening is part of a broader inspection scope. OpenVision DX is ANSI/HPS N43.5 (2005), ISTA 3A, MIL-STD-810 Method 514 Annex C Cat 4, REACH/ROHS, and CE compliant. FDA Accession #: 1680071-000.
