The G5 is the latest full‑capability instrument for guided wave pipe screening developed by GUL. This system enables rapid inspection of extended pipeline lengths from a single test position, providing 100% volumetric coverage for detecting corrosion and erosion defects, improving probability of detection, and supporting more effective integrity assessments. An on‑board touchscreen computer runs the full inspection process—handling setup, data collection, and analysis directly on the instrument, without the need for a separate laptop (though laptop‑based operation remains supported). The G5 interface is designed for efficient use by both experienced and entry‑level inspectors, with procedure‑based setup, software‑assisted feature recognition, and streamlined data‑to‑report workflows that promote consistency and reliable results. The Wavemaker ® G5 is compatible with all Screening Rings for inspection and non‑ATEX gPIMS ® Sensors for scheduled monitoring.
